      What to bring

      • Dressing in layers is recommended, in warmer summer days, just a windbreaker works fine, colder days we provide thermal Flotation Jackets and pants for everyone.

        Bring sunglasses, hat, sunscreen and your camera. No special footwear is needed, just according to the temperatures that day.

      Whale Watching Excursion

      - 2-3 hour trip duration (depending on distance to whales & weather conditions)

      - Board our 28-foot Zodiac vessel powered by 225 HP 4-stroke engines with a maximum capacity of 12 passengers. This vessel is zippy and maneuverable but at the same time very safe, responsibly driven and extremely seaworthy. Seating is in the center and comfortably padded. Your experienced Captain also serves as your tour guide. Head out in search of the migrating whales visiting the waters off Cape Breton Island. The Gulf of St Lawrence hosts numerous whale species each season including Finback whales, Pilot whales, Minke whales, Humpback whales, as well as Dolphins and other rare whale species such as Right whales, Killer whales, Blue whales, Beluga whales and more. Most seasons 8-12 species are recorded.
       

      - Once whales are spotted, your boat will get you there quietly without disturbing the whales, and follow whale wise guidelines. Keep those cameras handy, you’ll want to record your experience of a lifetime before you head back to the Dock. There will be time for you to do some sightseeing as your boat cruises along the Cape Breton Highland's National Park on the return trip to port.
